The summer of Allianz Milano is with Azzurri, with the summoning of three of its players: Paolo Porro, Marco Vitelli and Damiano Catania to the Chengdu Universiade in China. The XXXI Universiade are scheduled from 28 July to 10 August. The departure of the Italian selection is scheduled for Monday 24.

The choice of the three protagonists of Milanese volleyball for the next Superlega Credem Banca championship, as confirmed by Allianz Milano director Fabio Lini “is the confirmation of the good work done by Powervolley in recent seasons with many valuable young players. Today the Azzurri national teams can count on an excellent number of athletes who have grown up or moved from Milan”. The Milanese one, with 3 members, is also the largest delegation present at the Chinese Universiade. The call-ups were issued on the report of the Italian national team coach Ferdinando De Giorgi.

The meeting of the Azzurri is scheduled for 23 July at the “Giulio Onesti” Olympic Training Centre, the departure for China on 24 July and the return on 8 August. The staff will instead be made up of Vincenzo Fanizza (1st Coach), Luca Leoni (2nd Coach), Oscar Berti (Preparator, from 22/7), Ottaviano Tateo (Physiotherapist), Ennio Giordano (Doctor), Simone Cruciani (Scoutman, until 24/7), Emanuele Carpentieri (Team Manager).
