On the eve of the Corigliano – Rossano tournament, which starts tomorrow (Saturday) and will end on Sunday with the finals. At the quadrangular Città del Codex e del Castello di Corigliano Rossano, in Calabria, the team trained by coach Guillermo Falasca will debut in the first semi-final with Omifer Palmi, followed by Gioiella Prisma Taranto will challenge the Bulgarians of Hebar: the winners will play each other the Sunday match at 7.00pm, valid for the final victory, while the two defeaters will take the field again (always on Sunday) but at 5.00pm. Cisterna Volley, regardless of the results, will also play a test match on Monday with coach Alberto Giuliani’s Hebar.

«At the moment we are working a lot during training, especially from a physical point of view and it is a fairly tough phase of the season, we are also gaining a lot of confidence with the ball and we are integrating with each other, this is very important – explained Theo Faure – Now we have a series of appointments in which we will be able to take the field as a collective and have a better idea of the work we have done in recent weeks, I expect that the matches will be a good test for all of us as a team. There is less than a month left until the start of the matches that will really count for the ranking but I can say with certainty that these friendly matches will be useful for us to improve the feeling on the pitch and for the technical staff to collect important data that will be useful for us to continue work.”

In Calabria, at the PalaBrillia, Cisterna Volley will be busy with the Bulgarians of coach Giuliani’s Hebar, then with Taranto and Palmi. Hebar, a team that won the scudetto in Bulgaria in 2021 and 2022, has numerous acquaintances from the Italian Super League on its roster: Michele Baranowicz, Giulio Sabbi, Jacopo Massari, Rozalin Penchev, and Viktor Yosifov. Then on 14 and 15 October the Pontini will be involved in Gubbio in the Spirito di Squadra charity tournament with Padova, Panathinaikos and Taranto.
