Stanislaw Zbigniew Wawrzynczyk, spiker in place 4 2 meters tall, the new foreigner of ErmGroup Volleyball San Giustino. Born in 1990, he comes from the Med Store Unit Pallavolo Macerata, his only Italian experience, after touring several European countries; he was therefore an opponent of the Biancazzurri in the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship that has just concluded for both teams and in the match on 26 December last, won 3-1 by the Marches who finished in third place in the Bianco group, he was one of the best in the field: 19 points, including 2 aces and 4 winning blocks, demonstrating the fact that Wawrzynczyk has undoubted qualifications on all the fundamentals. Growing up in the Stoczniowiec youth team, he played in the French A with Al Caudry, then several seasons in the top flight of Poland with Trefl Gdansk, Joker Pila, Keczanin Kety, Posojilnica and Czestochowa (mid-table teams) and the subsequent passages, always in the respective Serie A, with Volejabl Nitra (Slovakia), Volejbalovy Pribram (Czech Republic), Universitatea di Craiova (Romania) and Czarni Rzasnia, back in Poland, before moving to Switzerland to serve Volley Schonenwerd. He arrived in Italy in the summer of 2022, hired by Volleyball Macerata, with whom he remained until the first round of the play-offs. The player and his family went to San Giustino in recent days, where they were welcomed by the ErmGroup management, headed by the president Elena Gragnoli. “Having an athlete of this caliber in the team, with undisputed technical skills and great professionalism, means being able to grow and become more competitive – said the managing director Claudio Bigi – with Wawrzynczyk in turn the protagonist.
