New hit on the market for Cucine Lube Civitanova. This is a horse back in the middle blockers department. Jacopo Larizza from Macerata, born in 1998 and 204 cm tall, is back in red and white after two very formative years. At the center of the project in the Agnelli Tipiesse Bergamo, the athlete won a Del Monte® Supercoppa of A2 in the 2021/22 vintage, while in the last SuperLega tournament with Gioiella Prisma Taranto he signed his stay in the category, hitting the seasonal goal.

Raised in the cooking nursery and run-in in Serie B in Paoloni Appignano, the centre-back born in the Marche region was part of the Cucine Lube Civitanova on a permanent basis in 2020/21, the year of the Scudetto-Coppa Italia “doblete”. A significant step that came after the two-year experience with the GoldenPlast Potenza Picena in A2 and the year at the Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce in the same category. Then the protagonist adventures in Bergamo and Taranto.

Aggressive blocker and hard worker, Larizza is ready to put the explosiveness that characterizes his attacking game back at the service of the red and white.

Central Jacopo Larizza: “I feel a wonderful emotion because for me being part of Lube again means going home, in my red and white family. I will still defend the colors of the club where it all started. I grew up in the cooking nursery and I made my debut in SuperLega with the champions’ Lube! It will be great to see the Lube nel Cuore fans and all the Predators again!”.

DG Beppe Cormio: “We thought a lot about what the ideal profile could be to strengthen the department. This is the right time to bring Larizza home, he has made the perfect journey that I wish every player with the ambition to become great. Jacopo started with us in the first team gaining experience as Ionut Ambrose in the last season. Then he began his loans, from A2 to Bergamo, establishing himself among the best in the role, to the SuperLega, in which he asserted his qualities in Taranto becoming a starter. If, as I think, he has reached Lube’s level, he will have an important career ahead of him, but I can already place him among the best in the championship in the centre. A few days ago we also announced another very interesting athlete, Matheus Motzo, already reported years ago by my friends with whom I organized many events in Sardinia. He was soon highlighted for his qualities starting from Club Italia and facing a very good apprenticeship in A2. We’ve been keeping an eye on him and it’s time for him to make the leap as well.
