There is a city in southern Salento that is experiencing an incredible story and that does not seem to want to know the word end. This story has the boys of Leo Shoes Casarano as protagonists who yesterday afternoon signed yet another seasonal feat by conquering the Pala Allendes in Fano and conquering the pass for the final playoffs.

Once again the rossoazzurri have overturned the prediction of the day before which saw them clearly underdogs at the start and, on this occasion, they managed to knock out the Fano who had dominated the northern group during the regular season.

With the series in perfect parity, yesterday’s game was inside or outside for both contenders: to be more cynical, more determined was the formation of Mister Licchelli who had the merit of managing all phases of the match bringing home the challenge after four exciting sets.

The match starts well for the guests who immediately sign an important extension with Ciupa and Cianciotta in great shape. Fano reacts promptly and with an imperious run of 10-1 puts his nose forward forcing Leo Shoes to come back. In a thriller set finale, the rossoazzurri have the upper hand with a double block from Fanizza first and then Peluso who block the way to the attacks of the recovered Fanese opposite Marks (23-25).

Balance also characterizes the following partial with the two opposites taking the chair. Casarano continues to grind good game and points, Fano instead suffers in reception. Leo Shoes took advantage of it and won the second set with merit, during which they had to give up the Polish Ciupa replaced by Guadagnini (20-25).

A monumental Cianciotta takes his men on his shoulders to push them to victory. From the other half of the field, the Marche players rely on the German striker Marks, while Mister Castellano tries to find different game solutions by fishing from the bench.

Leo Shoes seems close to the finish line when it is 17-20 in their favor, but Fano pulls a miraculous recovery out of the hat with the set ending in his favor thanks to the ace scored by Marks (25-23) .
