Another great pillar with stars and stripes for Gioiella Prisma Taranto: the Ionian club has reached an agreement with Jeffrey Jendryk, monumental central defender born in 1995 measuring 208 cm from Wheaton, USA, central defender of the US national team in the last season under the ‘ LKPS Lublin in the Polish Plusliga.

Jendryk has in his palmarés a bronze at the 2018 World Cup, 3 silvers, conquered at the North American championship and two at the Volleyball National League in Chicago and Bologna, where he played the tournament playing together with Kyle Russel, the new rossoblù opposite.

A very quick and agile attack, and a lot, a lot of intuition on the block immediately made the Ionian management intervene on the market to attempt the negotiation, which went through with great pride of President Bongiovanni and all the technical-management staff.

Jendryk has varied experience in Europe as well as in the States, he went from the youth teams in the St. Francis HS team to the Chicago team, then went overseas to Germany in Charlottenburg, Poland in Asseco Resovia and back to Germany in Charlottenburg, until at the last season in Lublin.

The General Manager Vito Primavera describes the characteristics and the joy of the successful negotiation:

“We are happy to have managed to find the best negotiation with Jendryk, world-renowned midfielder for his appearances in the US national team and for his numerous important professional experiences abroad, where he did well wherever he went. He won two German championships and Super Cups as well as the German Cup, awarded the best center back in the North American championship, we have no doubt that Jendryk will be the goal pillar of the Gioiella Prisma and will be able to further enrich his already great technical baggage that he will make available to the team ”.
