“Playing for the first team is an opportunity everyone dreams of, and for me, this dream has come true. It’s the fruit of constant sacrifice and commitment.”

Some goals are only meaningful when you know the path you took to get there. Andrea Ruzza, a 197-centimeter middle blocker, has traveled that path entirely within the Juventus family, growing through the youth sector until he earned the jump to the first team.

It’s a bond he describes with gratitude. “My journey at the Kioene Pallavolo Padova Academy began in the Under-15s and has been very important in my life, because it has given me great satisfaction both on a sporting level, in terms of results, and on a human level, because it has allowed me to meet fantastic people, both among the staff members and among my teammates.”

Off the court, he describes himself as a sociable guy who enjoys being with the group and building bonds, while on the court, he knows full well what the challenge will be. “Technically, I know I’ll have to work hard, but I have no problem with working hard and committing to learning. For next season, I’d like to raise the bar as high as possible and learn everything I can from my more experienced teammates. I want to learn every secret of the trade.”
