A.S. Volley Lube announces the signing of Bulgarian setter Simeon “Moni” Nikolov, born in 2006 and 208 cm tall, on a three-year contract. Nikolov, who recently played in the Russian championship with Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, is coming off a season.

This is a major signing for the red and white club, securing one of the brightest and most sought-after talents in world volleyball. Very young, but already a top-level performer with his country’s national team, with which he won silver at the 2025 World Championship, Simeon Nikolov is considered a true international star: a player capable of attracting the attention and admiration of fans, professionals, and clubs around the world.

Simeon is the brother of Alex, a spiker for Cucine Lube Civitanova, who recently further strengthened his relationship with the club by extending his contract until 2029. In red and white, the two brothers are ready to form a talented, quality, and promising duo, combining the playmaking genius of one with the power and offensive talent of the other.

“I am happy and excited for this new adventure,” said Simeon Nikolov. “I have always wanted to play in the SuperLega. My dream was not simply to come to Italy, but to be a key player in a great club. Today, this aspiration is coming true with my move to Lube, a club that always fights to the end for important goals. I come to Civitanova to work hard, win, and become the best in my position!”

The three-year agreement confirms A.S. Volley Lube is committed to investing in the champions of the future, building a solid foundation for the seasons to come and securing a prospect of international standing, destined to establish himself as a world leader in his role.
