Born in 2005 and a lot of experience in the youth national teams. This is the identikit of Lorenzo Magliano, spiker from Turin, who will reinforce the bench of Pool Libertas Cantù. But before starting his adventure in the shadow of the bell tower of San Paolo, there will be a summer of work with Coach Michele Zanin’s Under 19 national team: the WEVZA International Tournament is in sight (valid as a qualifier for the Under 20 European Championships of 2024), then the EYOF in Slovenia, to then leave for Argentina to play the Under 19 World Cup.

“Lorenzo Magliano is a prospectus with an assured future, perfect for our team project – says Coach Francesco Denora -. His characteristics go perfectly with the group built, he already has an important palmarès at youth level, excellent technical and physical skills to make available to the team, and I am sure that here he will be able to grow further, proving to be an added value for the group”.

“I’m very happy to play in Cantù next season – says the Turin spiker -: in 2020/2021 I saw the boys train at the Monza Arena, and I got the impression that it was a good club. Seeing as I was added to the Superlega first team this year and didn’t play a lot, I thought I’d find a team where I could play a little more and grow further, and I think I made the right choice. I’ve never played in Serie A2, but I’ve followed Pool Libertas in the past championships, in particular in the one that just ended. The next one will certainly be challenging, and I don’t think the level is much lower than that of the Superlega. Also, it is a good stepping stone for many players. On a personal level, I aim to improve more and more and play as much as possible.”
