Rana Verona will be represented in both semi-finals of the thirty-third edition of the European Championships. Both Mosca and Mozic have achieved access to the Final Four in Rome, where Italy will challenge France, while Slovenia will face Poland.

ITALY

Suffered, sweaty and finally conquered. Coach De Giorgi’s team gained the pass for the penultimate act of the competition by beating the Netherlands in a tie-break at the end of a heart-pounding challenge. Trailing in the score after the first set, the Azzurri recovered and overturned the result, before their opponents took the match to the fifth set, where Italy kept its nerve and won the match, also thanks to the block printed by Leandro Mosca in a decisive moment. The central defender, who started the tie-break, also landed two attacks.

SLOVENIA

Among the best four national teams of the continental event there is also the Slovenian one, which overcomes the Ukraine obstacle 3 to 1 and reaches Poland in the semi-final. The team led by Cretu broke the deadlock without any particular difficulties, then winning the second half with advantages. The opponents close the gap, but Mozic and his teammates are not distracted and in the fourth set they put the seal on the match and qualification. The spiker born in 2002 showed off his usual high-level performance, this time featuring 16 points in total, including one from nine meters and two from the block.
