Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza at the end of a perfect weekend in Rome brought home an Italian cup that few in the world of volleyball predicted could reach Piacenza. And instead in its fourth season in SuperLega, fifth of life considering the year of A2 where it won the Italian Cup of category and championship, Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza managed to win the Trophy without leaving sets on the street both in the Semifinal and in the Final . And together with the Coppa Italia, Piacenza has returned home with another certainty: next season it will play in the Del Monte® Supercoppa. The two finalist teams took to the field on Sunday in Rome, in fact, both detached the pass for access to the first official event of next season.

Antoine Brizard (Captain Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza) “Receiving the Italian Cup from the hands of the President of the Republic was a great honour. I want to say that I am proud of this group, we have achieved great success, I am very happy for us and for the Company. We played very well this Final Four, this group is built for this type of match, we are there when challenges really count, we proved it in this Coppa Italia. We are still in the running for two titles, we will try, I renewed my contract for this, I was sure I was in the right club to win trophies. It is the first medal as a protagonist that I have won abroad after so many defeats between France, Poland and Russia, I dedicate it to myself, my wife and my family”.

Leonardo Scanferla (Libero Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza) “I am very happy with how I played this Final Four but even happier with how the team played it. I felt a crazy emotion, it will take time to digest it, we arrived in Rome as non-favourites but we have shown that in dry races we can have our say, that this Piacenza is alive. But the exams aren’t over, now head to the Cev Cup and the championship, with all our strength we’ll try to win again”.

Robertlandy Simon (Headquarters Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza) “An Italian Cup that gives us a lot as a team, we were going through a complicated moment with many ups and downs, this victory makes everyone happy. Winning for Piacenza is always very exciting, when I arrived in Italy Piacenza welcomed me like a son, I’m just honored to be wearing the red and white shirt again, now I want to give back something of what was given to me”.
