Between the 9th and 10th matchday of SuperLega Credem Banca, the CEV Champions League 2024 returns to the scene, with the third round of the “4th Round”, i.e. the group stage. Having now reached the “turning point”, the three Italian clubs involved in the top European competition are looking for important points with a view to qualification and first place. Even in the Champions League, in fact, every point is precious, as even the first-placed teams will be ordered based on their performance to draw the final scoreboard.

Significant challenge in Belgium for Cucine Lube Civitanova against Greenyard Maaseik in Pool E of the Champions League. Fresh from Friday’s comforting success in the championship and unbeaten in the cup group, Chicco Blengini’s team is looking for a plein of European victories in tomorrow’s face-to-face match, Tuesday 12 December, 8.30pm, at the Steengoed Arena. Once the long journey on Sunday is over, the red and whites will train on the match field.

After the defeat at the PalaPanini against Valsa Group Modena in the last round of the SuperLega Credem Banca, Trentino Itas will try to maintain another unbeaten record, the European one, on another difficult pitch: at the RCWS Podpromie in Resovia, Fabio’s men Soli will take the field on Wednesday at 6pm against Asseco Resovia, second in Pool B with three points (debut defeat against Tours VB and victory in Slovenia against Ljubljana). Resovia is currently in fourth place in the Polish Plusliga, with one game less than the teams currently on the podium. The team led by Giampaolo Medei can count on some well-known faces in the national team scene, as well as former well-known faces from our championship, such as Torey Defalco, Klemen Cebulj, Stephen Boyer, and two fixed points of the Polish national team such as Jakub Kochanowski and Pawel Zatorski.

A crucial appointment also for Gas Sales Daiko Piacenza, which on Wednesday evening, at 8.30 pm, will be able to count on the push of PalaBancaSport in the match against Berlin Recycling Volleys. After having surrendered (certainly not without a fight) the entire stake in the first Champions League match of its history at home against Halkbank Ankara, Gas Sales Daiko immediately got back on track in its European journey by winning in Lisbon, and now it wants to repeat itself in the match against Berlin. As regards the Pool C ranking, the German club currently has four points, one more than the red and whites, obtained thanks to the clear home victory against Lisbon and the point collected in the defeat in Ankara. In the Budensliga, Berlin travels undefeated at a very high pace, with only one point lost in the first eight matchdays.
