If the nodal and fundamental point to be effective in the youth sector lies in the programming, Volley Prata certainly does not intend to be found unprepared. For this reason, after having laid solid foundations in the Serie A2 technical staff by reconfirming Dante Boninfante and Samuele Papi, he proceeded to plan the future by reconfirming a very important and apical figure for the youth sector. In this sense, the reconfirmation of the Technical Director of the Youth Sector Francesco Gagliardi fits in, who will thus continue the work begun this season. Originally his contract was for two years, but the company chaired by Maurizio Vecchies, convinced by the results obtained by Gagliardi both on the parquet and in the organizational field, decided to extend the collaboration with the original technician from S. Stino until 2027. A certificate of esteem which Gagliardi deserved thanks to the painstaking work he leads on a double track: in the gym and behind the desk. He will have the task of giving the technical guidelines for the development of the Gialloblù nursery, but also of indicating the technical figures necessary to carry out an increasingly punctual growth work.

“I am honored by the esteem that has been shown to me – he declared at the time of renewal – in times like these, with sport reform around the corner, it is no small thing, especially given the long term that will bind me to society. At the same time I am also enthusiastic and can’t wait to launch myself into planning for next season and the future in general”. The trials of the youth sector are judged after a few years, but the first signs are rosy with the good performances of the young Gialloblù in the regional championships, in the tournaments in which they are involved around Italy and, last but not least, the summoning of seven athletes in the enlarged Club Italia, an initiative in which Gagliardi himself will be involved as Regional Selector of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Representative. “Undoubtedly there are many satisfactions that we are reaping. They are not an absolute surprise, but we must not forget that the results and training of athletes are processes that come with time. We are especially enthusiastic about the response that boys and girls are giving us. We are working hard even if, probably, not yet as much as we would like. But I think I can say that we are absolutely on the right track”.
