WiMORE Salsomaggiore is pleased to announce the signings of middle blocker Riccardo Alberghini and spiker Riccardo Riccò, both of whom grew up in the fertile nursery of Anderlini with whom they have already played in the last two Serie B championships among the “big boys” and in recent months they graduated as regional vice champions in Under 19 reaching the national category finals. Alberghini, born on 21 September 2004 in Modena and 197 centimeters tall, was named best centre-back in the Under-17 Regional Final Four two years ago and in the 2021/2022 season he met Parma in Serie B as an opponent in a double confrontation that saw him put down ten points between round trips when the Modena conquered the PalaRaschi in the tie-break. Now the jump in category which can represent a crucial point in his career. “It is an opportunity to get involved, continue to improve and understand what the world is like outside Serie B. I arrive as a “rookie” on tiptoe, the goal is to be able to carve out my space for myself”. In a very young roster with high hopes, ready, however, to amaze. “We know it won’t be easy and we could struggle, especially at the beginning. We want to be a thorn in the side that can annoy everyone, I think that, on paper, we have the potential to do well but we will have to prove it on the pitch, training after training and match after match.” Riccò, born on June 1, 2005 in Reggio Emilia and 1.83 meters tall, started playing volleyball with the Anderlini team from the age of five, gaining a lot of satisfaction at a youth level without disdaining the beach activity volleyball, where in 2021 he won the Under 18 regional title and last summer he won the gold medal in the Under 18 championship stage in Turin. “For me, Anderlini was a training ground for life, a second family. I place myself at the complete disposal of the team, this year I have a lot to learn and I expect to grow not only in the technical field”. In the season that will mark his debut as a new adult in the Serie A3 championship. “Honestly, the call from Parma was a surprise, I’m very excited and can’t wait to get started. I know there is a good story behind it, we will feel a little responsibility but the fact of being a young group will also help us newcomers to settle in as quickly as possible”.
