There are two days left until game 3 of the championship final and Sir Susa Vim Perugia closes ranks.
The Block Devils resumed work this morning at PalaBarton in view of the third match against Mint Vero Volley Monza. A double session to take care of both the technical and physical aspects combined with the examination of last Sunday’s game 2 useful for examining the most relevant issues that emerged from the defeat of the Bianconeri in the tie break.
Coach Lorenzetti’s team will continue the approach to the match with the latest technical refinements and tactical studies tomorrow afternoon and Thursday morning while in Perugia attention is growing towards a clearly crucial match in the economy of the series with the PalaBarton which promises to be packed and is preparing to put on the dress for the best occasions.
Forty-eight hours before match 3, Juventus sporting director Goran Vujevic speaks:
“There is certainly a bit of disappointment about the result of game 2, but, despite not being able to close it in our favour, the team remained in the match until the end. Obviously due credit must be given to Monza who played an excellent match from a technical point of view and from the nine metres. In view of Thursday there will be some small tactical adjustments to be made. In a playoff series, even more so in a championship final series, the teams always know each other better and we will have to know how to adapt to their game. I expect a hard-fought and difficult match like the first two were. The level of this final is high between two teams who play good volleyball and who obviously want to win. We will have to fight.”
PalaBarton is called to support the Block Devils.
“We know, our fans are always exceptional,” concludes Vujevic. “With their cheering and their warmth they manage to give something extra to our kids who feel close to them. I can’t say whether the field factor will count, Monza has already shown in all these playoffs and also in game 1 that it knows how to play well even away from home. But on Thursday the PalaBarton will be packed, there is great understanding between the team and the fans, we are proud to have them with us, we will all give our best and leave everything on the pitch to seek victory.”
