The last remnants of this season give prestige to a good year for Brescia, but which seemed to lack that something that instead arrived on Sunday, after the 3-1 away defeat inflicted on Emma Villas. The double victory, in addition to an opportunity for redemption, offered the Toucans the opportunity to play again with enthusiasm and at a very high level. The top performance at the PalaEstra opened the doors to the Final four of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia A2, which promises to be intense and fun because it places Consoli in front of the other end-of-year surprise, the Delta Group Porto Viro, which first reached the Play-off semi-final and then the Cup semi-final again at the expense of Cuneo, hosts of the Trophy. Whoever reaches the final on Sunday gains access to the A2 Series Super Cup, scheduled for May 19th in Grottazzolina, already qualified having won the championship and competing in the Cup against Ravenna.

“We are very happy that something we were missing in the season has arrived now – admits captain Tiberti -. One of our objectives at the beginning of the year was to reach the Final Four and we did so by beating Siena, one of the strongest teams in the championship. This gives us morale to face Porto Viro, who is also in excellent shape. Getting to the final would be the icing on the cake: the team is in a good moment, has confidence, and in the championship we have shown that we know how to fight – even too much, given the many tie-breaks played -, but I think we can say that our it’s a sextet that moved. More for better than for worse: we want to continue fighting, one step at a time, towards the grand finale.”

The program of the two-day Piedmont event includes the two semi-finals on Saturday and the final on Sunday. Brescia will be on the pitch against Porto Viro di Garnica, Barotto and Bellei at 7.30pm, following the match between Grottazzolina and Ravenna at 5pm.
