Marco Rizzo, the talented libero from Ugento, has also been confirmed for next season in the red and blue team of Taranto, for his third consecutive year. Born in 1990 in Galatina (LE) and 185 cm tall, Rizzo returned to Puglia two seasons ago after a three-year experience in Vibo Valentia.

His professional career began in Ugento, then passing through Taviano and Gioia del Colle, before moving to Gela, Genoa, Molfetta, Brolo and Sora, until his arrival in the prestigious Super League. After playing for Milan, he spent three seasons in Monza, then landed in Vibo in 2019 and finally, last summer, he moved to Taranto, where he found a home together with his partner and their daughter, born in the city. . The confirmation of the two-year contract for Gioiella Prisma, signed a few days ago, was welcomed with great satisfaction by Rizzo, whose desire to play for a team from his region of origin is one of his main motivations.
