As part of the school project, a representative of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza this morning participated in two meetings held in the Aula Magna of the G. Marconi Higher Institute of Industrial Education in Piacenza.

Coordinated by Vittorino Francani, representative of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza for the school project and by Professor Elena Barbieri of the ISII presidential staff, during the meetings the technical manager of the youth sector of the red and white club Renato Barbon, Nicola Barbon and the two liberos Leonardo Scanferla and Nicolò Hoffer spoke about volleyball to over 450 students of the two-year course divided into two shifts.

Among the students also Manuel Zlatanov, player of the Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza youth team and protagonist with the Azzurri national team, called to talk about his experience.

Vittorino Francani presented the “squash boredom” project which wants the red and white club to be ever closer to young people and schools, a project which concluded its cycle at the ISII for this season and which will resume next year.

During the two meetings we talked about how professional sport can be reconciled with school, nutrition, how to manage psychophysical stress, an athlete’s free time, and the future after volleyball.

Leonardo Scanferla: “I started playing football, then I moved on to volleyball, within the team it is essential to also have psychological support to best prepare for each challenge. Another piece of advice I can give you is to listen to the advice of those who are experts and can help you grow.”

Nicolò Hoffer: “I have always played volleyball as my parents are both former volleyball players and current coaches. Reconciling sport and school is not easy but with character and will you can do everything, learning to plan my studies during high school helped me to be able to organize myself even today between university and volleyball. I was lucky enough to have top players in the team who helped me improve from a psycho-aptitude point of view.”

Manuel Zlatanov: “During covid I started playing volleyball with my father and my sister who was already playing. I have very little free time given the numerous training sessions and matches I play. When I don’t have to study I spend time with my friends and teammates.”
