“Our team won the Play Offs in 5th place, managing to play the last matches with serenity but in an authoritarian way, without letting itself be influenced by frenzy. The boys raised the level, something they hadn’t always managed when competing for the Scudetto. We are also very satisfied with Romano Giannini’s experience as a ferryman in the final rush. If you analyze the entire season, this year we once again played in a Super Cup Final playing well, but then we competed both in the Italian Cup and in the Scudetto quarter-finals against Monza. I don’t want to seem superficial, but the two matches that influenced us were precisely the Cup match in Brianza and Game 5 of the Play Offs at home with the Vero Volley consortium. We found on our path a team that has deservedly achieved a leap in quality. From my point of view, in the Champions League it was an important achievement to reach the Semi-final, while 5th place in the Super League was not what we wanted, but then it became the only way to obtain the European pass and we achieved it. Participation in the Challenge Cup will help us grow a team destined to complete the metamorphosis. Next year the points of reference will be the young people who have matured this season, while other interesting and futuristic athletes will arrive to complete the total renewal.”
