The secretariat of Gioiella Prisma is entrusted to a highly competent professional: Stefano De Luca, general secretary of the rossoblù club for years. His role is not limited to managing bureaucratic activities of the team chaired by Tonio Bongiovanni and Elisabetta Zelatore.

In fact, De Luca’s responsibilities are carried out with great loyalty to colours, discipline, tireless dedication, competence and experience in the management sector, as well as notable sportsmanship. The manager maintains close contact with the Presidency, working in the Prisma secretariat since the foundation of the Ionian club.

Originally from Adelfia (BA) and born in 1952, De Luca brings with him the experience of twelve years of Presidency of Fipav Taranto and of the secretariat of the Ionian team at the beginning, when it was called Magna Grecia, where he was also Team Manager in series A from 1998 to 2001.

In 2003 he founded the A.S.D. Legendary Volley, today CEO, subsequently returning to Taranto with Prisma Taranto Volley from 2004 to 2005. Subsequently, he spent 12 years as President of Fipav Taranto before becoming Regional Councilor of Fipav Puglia in 2017.

De Luca rejoined Prisma in 2020, when the club acquired the rights to the A2 team from Castellana Grotte.

His duties include memberships, international transfers, residence permits, registration for the championships (Gioiella Prisma is filling out all the complicated forms and related attachments for registration for the 2024/2025 championship), relations with Fipav and with the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, and everything related to the secretariat. Coordinates the assembly at PalaMazzola for the organization of home matches (mat, video check), organization of trips (booking planes, coaches, hotels). The Presidency entrusts him with the most delicate tasks due to the trust it places in him, thanks to his great experience, precision and knowledge of bureaucracy.

De Luca is also a consultant and advisor to the Presidency for other matters, a true man of trust with a consolidated friendship with President Bongiovanni and Vice President Zelatore, with whom he shares delicate strategies and operations, working with a precise and meticulous approach, the result of his military training. De Luca graduated as a Machinery Technician and Aeronautical Specialist from the Navy and Air Force Schools, and also organized a team visit to the Grottaglie base. He gained significant experience in the field, working until 1996 as a chief naval engineer and helicopter specialist; he was Hangar Chief of the Ship “Zeffiro” during military operations in the Persian Gulf and the “SHARP GUARD” operation in Yugoslavia.
