This afternoon, ahead of the official start of the 2025/26 Credem Banca Serie A season, the usual meeting between Serie A club coaches and the FIPAV Refereeing Department took place. The meeting was held to illustrate and discuss the major changes to the rules of the game that will take effect this coming season.
Added to these are a major new feature for the Credem Banca SuperLega: following trials in previous editions of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia, the “15-Second Service Rule” will make its league debut.
The meeting, held online, opened with greetings from Massimo Righi, President of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, and Fabio Fistetto, CEO, in the presence of the coaches and managers of the 47 clubs participating in the Credem Banca Serie A championships this season. Speaking on behalf of the Referees’ Sector were Daniele Rapisarda, Referee Commission Representative, Role A, and Luigi Roccatto, Technical Director of the National Referees’ Sector.
The meeting aimed to confirm the technical approach adopted in recent years and to illustrate the main changes to the rules of the game, namely the innovations introduced by the FIVB. The explanations were supported by images and videos.
