Still twenty-two years old, and already one of the club’s most iconic players. Gabriele Chiloiro’s confirmation on Delta Volley Porto Viro’s Serie A2 roster is a significant one: the 203-centimeter-tall spiker, born in 2004, is preparing for his fourth consecutive season in black and fuchsia, becoming one of the longest-serving players in the Polesine ranks.
The Milanese talent—born in Melzo, but originally from Vignate—was hampered by physical problems in his first year at Porto Viro, but has since managed to carve out an increasingly important role for himself. This culminated in a significant leap in quality last season, where he was one of coach Bologna’s most used players, making 28 appearances, several of them as a starter, playing 87 sets, and scoring 108 points.
