From their extraordinary World Championship run to their heroic return to a thrilling crowd in Sofia, all the way to Grottazzolina. After their extraordinary World Championship adventure capped by a double silver medal, Georgi Tatarov and Iliya Petkov finally landed in Italy, at Fiumicino, welcomed by a delegation from the Yuasa Battery to accompany them to Grottazzolina. They were two of the architects of Bulgaria’s incredible run, held only by the Italians in a final that gave Italy its fifth World Championship title. Georgi and Ilya are back from the official celebrations in the square and in their hometown of Sofia: first the crowds upon their return home and then the official reception organized by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, who awarded the players with a special honor.
