He just turned 19, hailing from Treviso, and is experiencing the moment every volleyball enthusiast dreams of since childhood: his debut among the “big boys.” Specifically, in Serie A3 Credem Banca. Giovanni Tosatto, the young libero from Belluno Volley, stepped onto the court for the first time in the Veneto derby against Personal Time San Donà di Piave, a match the Rhinos won in three sets. From there, it was a short step to his second appearance: a few days later, he also made his debut in Cagliari, against CUS, in a tough match that ended 3-1 for the home team. However, the team quickly overcame this setback in the next Piedmontese game, in Valenza, where they secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Acqui Terme.
A JUMP OF EMOTIONS – For Tosatto, his debut night was a thrilling experience he’ll never forget: “In the last match I was called upon to play, at the end of the fourth set, I knew I had a lot of responsibility on my shoulders,” he says, “because I was entering at a crucial moment. Despite that, I managed to stay focused and give it my all. It’s a great feeling to finally make my A3 debut.”
