He’s young, eager to aim high, and already has significant experience in Serie A2 and Serie A3. Belluno Volley adds a new piece to its puzzle ahead of its return to the second division: setter Pietro Melato will wear the white-and-blue jersey. Born in 2004, originally from Turin, he stands 190 centimeters tall. And he can’t wait to reach the Dolomites.
PATH – Having trained in the Modena youth system, he immediately had the opportunity to compete with prominent teams. In the 2024-2025 season, he was part of Emma Villas Siena in Serie A2, while last year he began his journey with EnergyTime Campobasso in Serie A3, before moving to La Spezia in Serie B. The decision to join Belluno? It came quickly: “I wanted to continue to play at a high level, and this club is recognized by everyone in the community as serious, ambitious, and organized. I’m very happy to have the opportunity to wear the Belluno Volley jersey in the next championship.”
GAME MANAGEMENT – Melato describes himself as an athlete particularly dedicated to his daily work: “I always try to give my best, when I enter the weight room and on the court, with the goal of improving myself and helping the team. The serve is one of my main weapons, while when it comes to game management, I like to use the middle blockers a lot and exploit the “pipe.” In short, the Piedmontese player is skilled at playing fast, high-intensity volleyball.
