After a weekend break, Cisterna Volley is preparing to return to the field for the Play Off 5th place, a competition that assigns a place in the CEV Challenge Cup. The debut of coach Falasca’s team is scheduled for Sunday 6 April at 7:00 pm at the Palasport in Viale delle Province, where they will face Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina. The Pontine team will return home again on Wednesday 23 April at 8:30 pm to challenge Sonepar Padova.
THE FORMULA – The Play Off 5th Place sees the participation of the four teams eliminated in the Scudetto Quarter Finals (Rana Verona, Allianz Milano, Valsa Group Modena and Cisterna Volley) and the two teams classified in 9th and 10th place in the Regular Season (Sonepar Padova and Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina). The tournament is played with a one-way round robin, in which the top three teams of the Regular Season (Verona, Milan and Modena) play three of the five games at home, while the other teams play three games away. At the end of the group stage, the top four teams advance to the semi-finals, in a single game, followed by the final that will determine the winner of the tournament.
