The other Piedmontese team in the A3 white group, Negrini CTE Acqui Terme, is coming to Trebaseleghe. The Alessandria team is currently fourth (with one game in hand over Mussi, who will rest next weekend).
Acqui Terme, according to our coach Daldello, is “a team that was definitely built to try and win the championship,” and according to our opposite number Davide Cester, the only former player from the December 13th match: “On Saturday we’ll face a strong team on paper and on the pitch.”
“Acqui Terme,” continues the SAV Trebaseleghe number 2, “has been my home for three years: I know the team we’ll be facing well. As newly promoted teams, we need to use these matches to rediscover our lightheartedness and smiles. We’ll be facing players from a higher category, especially Botto, a former international. And this should be a source of pride and an opportunity to demonstrate our ability to play volleyball. We’ll have to focus on the ball, not the score, while enjoying—and exploiting—our fans!”
