Amir Golzadeh will be Petkovic’s deputy for the 2025-26 Superleague season at Yuasa Battery. Iranian opposite hitter born in 2003, 205 centimeters tall, Amir comes from a land that is currently strongly marked by international tensions: it will therefore be up to the small community of Grottazzolina to pamper and protect another young talent who lands in the Italian championship with so many great hopes. “These are not easy days for Iran” reveals the young opposite hitter, the same age as his predecessor Cvanciger, “for the moment we are all fine and the hope is clearly to be able to return to talking about something else as soon as possible.” His parents are engaged in university teaching, and education is the first characteristic that emerges when speaking with Amir, who does not hide his gratitude to the club for having bet on him: “I am honored to be able to experience the opportunity to compete with the best players in the world in the most beautiful championship in the world, honestly the call from Grottazzolina moved me.
