Two sets played against Aversa (in last Saturday’s joint training session), and the physical issue now largely overcome, training with the rest of the group and completing the entire workload, with his physical condition improving day by day: Enrico Diamantini is ready for the double friendly against Milan (both matches will be played at the Gubbio sports hall, Saturday, October 4th at 6:00 PM and Sunday, October 5th at 5:00 PM).
“The goal is to be in top condition for the start of the championship,” emphasized the 1993-born middle blocker. “We’re working toward this, and now the two friendlies against Milan represent an important step in understanding where we stand in the buildup to the big games. Finally, with all the internationals back, we’re at full strength, and Milan will be at full strength, too. These two friendlies will be very indicative, as will, and perhaps even more so, the matches we’ll play next week in Poland. In the joint training sessions against Catania and Aversa, regardless of the opponent’s strength, we performed significantly better than in the first two outings against Perugia. Our growth has been evident; on Saturday and Sunday in Gubbio, we’ll see how far we’ve come.”
