The first round of the 2025/26 SuperLega Credem Banca season concluded with a three-set victory for reigning Italian champion Itas Trentino against Cisterna Volley, who fell at home. The Dolomites, without the injured Daniele Lavia, relied on 15 points from Alessandro Michieletto and 14 from one of their former players, Theo Faure (the other is Jordi Ramon, who played in Cisterna last year alongside the French opposite hitter). Trento’s Andrea Giani, born in 2007, made his debut, entering in the third set and scoring an ace (two points total). For Cisterna, Filippo Lanza and Tommaso Guzzo both scored double figures, each scoring 10 points. Sir Susa Scai Perugia, on the other hand, needed four sets to get the better of Vero Volley Monza: in Brianza, Lorenzetti’s team relied on Wassim Ben Tara’s 19 points and Yuki Ishikawa’s 18 goals. Monza coach Eccheli had to do without the unavailable Rohrs: Krisztian Padar (14 points) and Luka Marttila (12 points) scored double figures. The teams will be in action on Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th for the second round of the championship.
