He is the central figure within the club, which transformed from Pallavolo San Giustino into Volley Altotevere. This is Claudio Bigi (pictured), 61, a native of San Giustino with a past as a footballer and a successful entrepreneur in the precision mechanical tools sector, which sees him at the head of one of the most important groups in Italy (ErmGroup, the team’s main sponsor), as well as president of the Alta Valle del Tevere territorial section of Confindustria Umbria since July 2024. Bigi approached volleyball as a man of sports, developing a growing passion, which in the summer of 2019 – after only one year of activity with the club – led him to join Pallavolo San Giustino until he held the position of president and, since November 2021, that of CEO, which still belongs to him and in close symbiosis with president Elena Gragnoli and the other members of the company, in its fourth consecutive season in the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship. The main volleyball club in the area has thus made a qualitative leap not only in terms of sporting title, but also and above all in terms of structure and organization.
