Duccio Bini, born in 2004, will complete the libero roster available to coach Francesco Petrella. The young talent earned promotion to Serie A3 with the Lupi, proving to be one of the best liberos in the category.
Born in Bagno a Ripoli, he grew up in the youth teams of Robur Scandicci, and spent three seasons with Modena Volley, playing in the U19 and B2 leagues. He started last season in Serie A3, with Mantua, but his relationship with the Virgilian club ended, prompting him to join the red and whites for a Serie B role. A precise receiver and a reactive defender, he has earned the attention of the new Emma Villas Codyeco project and will work with the group starting in August alongside the more experienced Alessandro Piccinelli.
“I saw this project as the perfect path for me at this point in my career. I’m very excited; the club is serious,” said Bini. “As for my characteristics, my strength is my reception, along with my dedication, consistency, and commitment to my work in the gym. What do I expect from next year? On an individual level, to learn as much as possible and enrich my volleyball knowledge. As a team, to achieve our goals.”
