There’s an invisible thread that unites the passion of those who take to the court, those who invest in volleyball, the energy of those cheering in the stands, and the vision of those who lead from the bench. Today, that thread is enriched by two new stories, two new faces joining the great Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza family: Dante Boninfante and Samuele Papi, head coach and assistant coach, respectively, of the red and white team.
The first official red and white moment for the two coaches took place this morning at the Cerciello family’s Nordmeccanica S.p.A. headquarters, a historic company and global leader in the production of flexible packaging. Nordmeccanica S.p.A., Gold Sponsor of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, will also be supporting President Elisabetta Curti’s club in the 2025-2026 season, for the seventh consecutive time.
The presentation conference wasn’t just an official event: it was also an opportunity to look forward together, to feel the enthusiasm of those who have chosen to join Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza and those who have always supported the team.
Dante Boninfante, 48, a native of Battipaglia, began his coaching career in 2017 in Trento as an assistant coach. For four seasons, he led Tinet Prata of Pordenone, first in Serie A3 and then in Serie A2. Last season, he made his SuperLega debut with Taranto.
