Rinascita Volley Lagonegro is happy and proud to officially announce the reconfirmation of Diego Cantagalli for the 2025/2026 season. The opposite hitter born in 1999 will continue to be a pillar of the team in the next Credem Banca A2 Series championship, after the splendid ride that saw him as an absolute protagonist in A3.
The numbers are the first litmus test of the contribution that the “son of art” gave in his first season in the red and white jersey and which, in fact, opened the doors to permanence for him: with 414 points scored in the regular season, 17 aces, 46 winning blocks and an average of 46% offensive positivity, Cantagalli graduated as the best scorer of the entire 2024/2025 A3 series, leading Rinascita to that long-awaited return to the second series, the true home of the association of president Nicola Carlomagno.
In the entire season he missed only one match, the second day of the first leg against Domotek Reggio Calabria on October 20th. Then, a steamroller and (almost) always in double figures in terms of points: the record (37) on the third day against Plus Volleyball Sabaudia (October 27th). In the second round, the turning point, he scored 8 consecutive matches (between the second and tenth day) with more than 20 points: the icing on the cake on March 2nd against Castellana Grotte (one of the most important victories of the season), where he scored 31 points, with 1 ace and 3 winning blocks.
