Fulvio Roncoroni’s volleyball career began with a ball in his hands. A teammate of Riccardo Sbertoli at Volley Segrate 1978, with whom he won an Under 15 Championship and a DelMonte® Boy League title, he first arrived in Cantù in the 2019/2020 season as a setter for Serie C, a team that came within a whisker of promotion to Serie B the following season. He returned to the shadow of the San Paolo bell tower after a year at Valbreggia Volley, before staying on as a youth coach. From there, he moved to the First Team bench as Alessio Zingoni’s assistant for the upcoming Serie A2 Credem Banca, forming one of the youngest coaching duos in the division.

“I’m incredibly happy that Fulvio is taking on this experience,” says Coach Alessio Zingoni. “I met him three years ago, when I started as the Technical Director of the Youth Sector, and he’s slowly become like a ‘little brother’ to me. We talk daily during the season, and we’ve established a relationship that’s primarily human and based on great trust. I’m happy he’s taking this step in his journey.”
