Joy Volley has announced the return of the 2003-born spiker Leonardo Carta, who will wear the Gioia club’s jersey again after five years. The Sardinian athlete will be back with coach Francesco Racaniello in Gioia del Colle, with whom he won the triplete in Serie A2 with Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia (championship, Italian Cup and Super Cup) in the 2022/2023 season.
Carta’s return completes the spikers department available to coach Passaro for the 2025/2026 season, representing a young addition but already accustomed to working in contexts with high technical and competitive intensity.
These are the first statements of the new red and white player: «I am very happy to return to Gioia. I had no doubts: I already know the environment and the club. Reuniting with coach Racaniello is a great stimulus. The project is ambitious and being part of it is a source of pride. I will be ready every time I am called to give my contribution. I can’t wait to return to PalaCapurso and feel the affection of the public”.
With this operation, Joy Volley confirms the technical line oriented towards young, determined athletes with an already important experience in the national panorama.
