Sviluppo Sud Catania held its second joint training session in two days. The red-and-blue team won 4-0 away to Sabaudia, a Serie A3 team.

The scores tell the story of the match: 25-12, 25-15, 25-17, 25-12.

It was a useful test to test their technical solutions and pace of play. The red-and-blues found consistency in serving, order in defense, and consistency in attack.

Coach Paolo Montagnani was satisfied, declaring after the match: “We’re happy today. We’re happy because compared to the Cisterna match, we watched videos and discussed some situations, but we resolved them. We did a great job recycling dirty balls and developing a new attack; this is something we’ll need to continue with all year. We also did a great job serving, with good rotation and few errors, maintaining constant pressure on the opponent. What we need to improve is our important changeovers when our opponents serve hard, which we’ll have to face anyway. That’s good. Now a day of rest and then the next step, another friendly and other things to test.”
