Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena, formed this summer from a joint venture between Emma Villas Siena and Lupi Santa Croce sull’Arno, will start the new season with a pair of setters: Simone Porro, formerly of Reggio Emilia, fresh from his experience with the Italian national team at the Under-19 World Championship (currently sidelined due to injury), and Roberto Mastrangelo, who won the Serie A2 championship last year with Cuneo, while Danish setter Mikkel Hoff is training with the group.
In the second position, the Tuscan club has confirmed opposite hitter Gabriele Nelli, who has eleven Superleague seasons under his belt and was the third-highest scorer in the Serie A2 championship last year. His partner will be 20-year-old Leonardo Rocca, formerly of San Donà di Piave.
