The countdown has begun: five more days to go, and it’s finally SuperLega. On Tuesday evening, Cisterna Volley will take to the court at the Palasport on Via delle Province at 8:30 pm to face the Italian champions Itas-Trentino.

A match that prepares itself, against an opponent that needs no introduction. Cisterna Volley will return to training tomorrow (the staff granted the group a day off today). Filippo Lanza spoke about the match against the Italian champions (we last heard from him on September 9th, 20 days after the start of preparations).

“We’ve made a lot of progress. We’ve worked incredibly hard physically, training on what we need to be: the test matches have allowed us to develop our own playing system, now we’ll need to be fully focused in the important matches,” our number 10 emphasized. “We know we can cause problems for any opponent by developing our game, implementing what we know how to do, starting with the match against Trento. Mentally, we’re still lacking something, especially in our ability to get into the game straight away and not give our opponents time to think. That was a flaw in our friendlies, but it will have to be different in the league.”
