This year, once again, confirming the long-standing, solid partnership with Porto Robur Costa 2030, Il Molinetto Restaurant hosted the official presentation of Consar’s first team, which will compete in the A2 championship for the fourth consecutive year. Ravenna’s mayor, Alessandro Barattoni, attended, and in his address, noted that “there’s history here, a solid present that foreshadows a future that I hope will be equally positive. There’s also a deep connection to the local area and a project that deserves to be supported. We often read that grassroots sport competes with professional sport, but I believe in the value of mutual valorization. Professional sport doesn’t exist without grassroots sport. And similarly, there are no young people in grassroots sport without the dream of competing at high levels.”
Club president Matteo Rossi couldn’t hide his excitement at this initial moment of reunion and proudly acknowledged the club’s ongoing investment in volleyball and the youth sector. We’ve more than tripled the number of youth team members, and we’ve launched the women’s sector project, thanks in part to appropriate collaborations, because we believe the entire community should participate in a project that involves the entire city.
