Rana Verona officially presents one of the new faces on its roster for the 2025/2026 season: Lukas Glatz, a young spiker born in 2005. In his first experience in Italy, the talented Austrian has completed the spikers’ department, thanks to a move that also confirms the important international synergy between Verona Volley and the Austrian club TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg.
Glatz grew up in the Austrian club’s youth academy. Promoted to the first team at a very young age, he has achieved two second-place finishes in his country’s top league and a silver medal in the Austrian Cup. Already a member of the senior national team, the new Verona spiker has participated in the European Silver League three times, finishing second in 2024. Now, Glatz is preparing for a new chapter in his career, his first outside of Italy.
“I’m happy and very excited to begin this important new stage in my career,” said Lukas Glatz. “I started training with the group a few weeks ago and I’m having a really positive experience. My immediate impact on the team and the atmosphere was excellent: my teammates and staff welcomed me very well, and I already feel part of the team.
