Two days after the end of the Play Off Group 5th Place Credem Banca, with the three matches of the 5th and final round scheduled for Sunday 27th April and all live streaming on VBTV, the Semifinals picture is yet to be written.
At 5:30 pm the spotlight will be on the Kioene Arena for the derby between Sonepar Padova and Rana Verona and at the PalaPanini for the bottom of the table between Valsa Group Modena and Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina. Allianz Milano and Cisterna Volley will close the round, on the field at 7:30 pm.
Only Modena and Verona, currently arm in arm at the top with 9 points, are certain of accessing the Semifinals, but the placings after the 5th and final round will also be important. The other four teams are playing for the two remaining passes, with Milan third at 6 points and having to withstand the assault of Cisterna, fourth at 5 points. Padova, currently fifth with a haul of 4 points, is hoping for a comeback with a home win against Verona, who is instead looking for a solitary lead. Modena, jointly leading with the Scaligeri, wants to end on a high note against Grottazzolina, who would need to hit a 3-point blitz to qualify, hoping to receive favorable news from the other fields.
