After a difficult away trip with a prestigious victory in Modica, Domotek Reggio Calabria is preparing to return to home soil at PalaCalafiore. This victory on island soil is worth double: not only for the points earned, but also for the maturity and character demonstrated by Coach Polimeni’s team.
In this interview, the coach analyzes his team’s performance and launches the challenge against Campobasso, a top-tier opponent in the next home match. Sunday’s match at 6:00 PM promises to be another spectacular chapter in a tough championship, one to be experienced with grit on the pitch and the growing enthusiasm of the entire team.
“Modica is a tough ground, and always has been. Winning there, and 3-0 at that, is a huge achievement. It was anything but an easy match, one of the toughest of this Serie A3 season. They assembled an excellent team, a quality roster with a proven playing system featuring many proven players. We expected a “state of war,” in the volleyball sense, on such a heated field. And so it was, especially at the beginning.”
