Modena Volley’s players competing in the VNL semifinals are on the eve of the tournament: Anzani, Porro, and Sanguinetti for Italy, and Arthur Bento for Brazil.
Ferdinando De Giorgi’s Azzurri, fresh from their 3-1 victory over Cuba, are preparing to face Slovenia, led by Modena’s Fabio Soli, who surprisingly eliminated Andrea Giani’s France. The match is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd, starting at 9:00 a.m.
The second semifinal will take place at 1:00 p.m.: Brazil, who came from behind to defeat China 3-1, will face Poland, fresh from their victory over Japan.
The two finals are scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd: the two winning teams will play the 1st-2nd place final at 1pm, while the losers will compete for third and fourth place in the match at 9am.
