Gabriel Galiano arrives in the middle, a talented young Italian for the future of Prisma

Gabriel Galiano is a promising new face in the panorama of Italian volleyball and a profile of great interest for Prisma Taranto. Born in 2006, he stands out for his imposing size of 203 centimeters. Originally from Castellana Grotte, in Puglia, Galiano took his first steps in volleyball in the ranks of Materdomini, a company with a solid tradition in training young talents.

Three years ago he achieved one of the most important goals of his young career: the Italian Under 19 title with Matervolley di Castellana Grotte. In the last three seasons he has played as a starter in Serie B and in San Giustino, consolidating his role as a middle blocker and acquiring important experience in the national championships, playing an excellent season in Umbria.

“I was struck from the first moment they contacted me about the project that Prisma has in mind” – said Gabriel Galiano – “They are a team with great determination and desire for redemption after last season, and this pushed me even more to fully embrace this opportunity. My expectations for this year are definitely to have a good year and to be able to grow as much as possible from all points of view, working with teammates who are older and more experienced than me, and with a high-level technical staff.”
