Conad conquers Acqui Terme and takes all three points. On Saturday, December 20th, in Piedmont, the Granata prevailed with a resounding 3-0 victory, securing first place in the standings and qualification for the Coppa Italia as the top-seeded team, with just one game remaining in the first half of the season.
Reggio put in a solid and consistent match, struggling early on and growing over the course of the match, finding consistency in all the fundamentals. In the first set, after a favorable start for the home team, Conad stayed in the lead thanks to solid offensive work and increasingly effective blocking, extending their lead in the final minutes and closing the set with authority.
Filippo Santambrogio, with his orderly and precise play, and opposite hitter Riccardo Mian, the match’s top scorer with 20 points, stood out.
“It was very important to come here and express our volleyball, and I think we succeeded,” said setter Filippo Santambrogio. “Even in difficult moments, we did well to stay in the game without letting our opponents get away: this shows that the work we’re doing in the gym is working and that commitment always pays off.
