The comeback victory on the Galatone court isn’t just a three-point result, but a clear sign of Viridex Sabaudia’s character and ability to adapt. After a difficult start, trailing by a set, the Pontini team turned the game around by imposing pace, order, and clarity in decisive moments: a crucial victory that brings Beltrame’s team to 12 points and strengthens the team’s technical identity.
“The match is difficult to summarize, because there’s a lot to analyze tactically and technically, but the first thing to highlight is that our attack improved during the game,” coach Stefano Beltrame analyzed the day after. “We didn’t approach the match well, both due to the opponent’s merits and some of our own suboptimal decisions. We conceded five direct points, but then we found solutions and adjusted our mechanisms on the fly: the attackers stepped up their game, and from there we built the victory.”
The coach also emphasized the team’s depth, which proved decisive in critical moments. “There are important tactical aspects and the bench has made a notable contribution,” he continues. “This demonstrates a cohesive, compact group, in which everyone works towards the same goal.
