Viridex Sabaudia kicked off the season with a commanding victory in front of a large crowd at PalaVitaletti: with a tie-break victory against Terni Volley Academy, Sporting Director Paolo Torre’s team kicked off the new Serie A3 Credem Banca season in the best possible way. A hard-fought and spectacular match, lasting nearly three hours, provided the home crowd with an intense evening of volleyball and the first smile of the season for Coach Stefano Beltrame’s team.
“From Sunday’s match, we definitely have to enjoy the result and the victory, because nothing can ever be taken for granted. Of course, credit must be given to our opponent, who played good volleyball and found their rhythm right away, while we took longer to get into the game,” explained Coach Stefano Beltrame. “We have a lot to work on this week to fine-tune the details we’ll need in the upcoming matches: error management, counterattacking, and our blocking and defense system, which can certainly be improved. Terni gave us a tough time, and we had to work hard to find the right balance and secure victory. Winning is always nice, especially on your debut, because starting off on the right foot helps you better approach the work and subsequent races.
