After overcoming Cuba in the quarterfinals, Ferdinando De Giorgi’s Italy is now preparing for the 2025 Volleyball Nations League semifinals: tomorrow, at 9:00 a.m., the Azzurri will play in Ningbo, China, against Slovenia, who reached the semifinals by defeating reigning champions France. The match will be broadcast live on DAZN and VBTV.

This is the sixteenth meeting between these two national teams: the Azzurri have won nine times so far (including a 3-0 victory in Week 3 of the VNL) and six for Slovenia. Fabio Soli, who will coach Rana Verona in the Credem Banca SuperLega next season, will be on the Slovenian bench. Among the players available to coach Rok Mozic and Uros Planinsic, both of whom play for Verona, are Jan Kozamernik, who won the Italian Championship last season with Itas Trentino.
