The round of 16 matches of the Men’s Under-21 Volleyball World Championship were played today in China. Italy’s Pardo Mati and France’s Amir Tizi-Oualou defeated South Korea and Kazakhstan, both teams sweeping the tournament 3-0. Both teams advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face Cuba and the USA, respectively.

Once again, the two young Modena Volley players were the stars: middle blocker Mati scored ten points (six in attack and four blocking), while French captain and setter Tizi-Oualou scored eight points (one in attack, four blocking, and three serving), also scoring the final point that ended the match.
